Making A Transformation (MAT) Conference 2024

Welcome to the Making a Transformation (MAT) Conference 2024

Welcome to the Making a Transformation (MAT) Conference 2024! Advocates for Human Potential (AHP), UCLA Integrated Substance Abuse Programs (UCLA ISAP), Aurrera Health Group, and California Opioid Maintenance Providers (COMP)  welcome you to the Making a Transformation (MAT) Conference 2024: Transforming California’s Medications for Addiction Treatment System, funded by the Department of Health Care Services for the SOR 3 Hub & Spoke System (H&SS).

The 2024 Making a Transformation (MAT) Conference is intended to address ways that California treatment providers can improve access to evidence-based treatments for substance use disorder, including medications for addiction treatment, across a variety of health care settings. The conference will begin with an overview of SOR3 and H&SS from DHCS’s Federal Grants Branch. Some breakout session topics are: Innovative Outreach; Summary Update on Changes in OTP regulations; Stimulant Treatment and Management, and Culturally Competency in Treatment. There will be a panel discussion on the Peer Support Specialists Role including a focus on Lived Experience. H&SS grantees regularly submit data on their facilities and patient populations so UCLA and Aurrera Health Group will provide a deep dive into that data. Join us for an exciting conference that provides an opportunity for H&SS grantees to continue learning together to provide best practices to address patient needs in their programs.
